Inter-Confederation Playoffs
The FIFA Inter-Confederation Playoffs serve as the final “Second Chance” tournament for the 2026 World Cup. Six teams from five confederations compete in a knockout bracket for the last two global slots. Matches will be hosted in Mexico at Estadio Akron and Estadio BBVA.

The UEFA Playoffs are the “Last Chance” for European nations. Sixteen teams are drawn into four paths (A, B, C, D). Each path features single-leg semi-finals followed by a decisive final. Only the four path winners will secure the remaining European berths.
